Quadratic Quest
Five difficulties, each with five mystery pictures—from factorised quadratics to mixed challenges. Your normal picture journey stays separate.
Mystery Picture

Let's try a number line
Move the points to draw the solution.

Open: < or > (not included) Closed: ≤ or ≥ (included)
Tap a circle to switch its type. Drag it to change its position.
Optional — not marked. Your number line is the answer.
Type normally or use the symbols. Use / for a fraction, ^2 for a square and Enter for a new step.
Write with your finger, stylus or mouse. The eraser removes a stroke; Undo restores your last change.
Your colour studio
Tap a colour rule, then paint the numbered squares. Swipe to paint several at once. Correct rows keep their colours and lose their numbers.
Quadratic Quest
Solve the quadratic. Mark its entire solution on the number line. Each correct answer unlocks a row.

Each correct quadratic solution reveals one row. Pictures and progress save automatically on this device; no difficulty is locked.
A picture takes shape
Only correct answers reveal picture rows. The pixels are a reward—not a graph of the quadratic.
Find the solution set
Choose where to shade, then position both endpoints. Open circles exclude roots; closed circles include them.

Solve: (x + 1)(x − 2) < 0
- The roots are x = −1 and x = 2.
- The parabola opens upwards. It is below the x-axis between its roots.
- The sign is strict (<), so neither root is included.
Solution: −1 < x < 2, with open circles at both roots.
Arrows continue beyond the displayed number line. You can also drag the circles or use the number boxes.
